Right, before you all go "Wtf?" xD I'll explain what my current project was about so it makes a little more sense.

The project theme was about "Recycling" so we had to make a final piece that had it's own political message about this chosen theme.

So I linked animals to the project. Why? Because if rubbish isn't recycled properly or disposed of in a more thoughtful manner, it could effect the environment of many different types of animal.

After a lot of researching and observing lots of secondary source material of animals that can potentially be effected by general man made materials I decided to use a bird for my 3D work which will then lead to a couple of illustrations with brusho inks to bring across this question...

"If you saw this perched on your fence, would you consider recycling?"

Or something like that x3

I'm gonna name this bird... Halo! 8D Just cause I've been listening to Halo 3 music during the middle of finishing it and since the word "halo" is associated with death and angels it can be seen as a tribute to all the animals that have suffered and died from littering.

That's it! Thanks very much for viewing :3

Materials:-

Cut up aluminium cans, thick aluminium mesh, gold coloured wire (Possibly brass?), very bendable silver wire, coloured phone wires, tin lid from a chocolate tin, some plastic rings, enamelled glass for one of the eyes and solder with glass on the other eye.

Awesome! :D It looks freakishly real.

Must have been excruciating trying to make that shape.

Thanks love <D I did start with making a wire frame for the bird first with the gold coloured wire to help me mould all this aluminium together with a basic shape already made.

I know I won't be soldering metals together any time soon. Looks better up close though, photos never seem to do much justice when I'm using the camera xP
